Improvements strategy
With senior management emphasis on continual improvement, a development strategy is being implemented involving all employees. This strategy involves the ongoing review of all our procedures sometimes resulting in amendments to improve our performance. This review is playing a key part in our journey towards becoming the “contractor of choice”.
Specific Initiatives include:
Increased Environmental Focus
There is an ongoing training focus on raising awareness of environmental and sustainability issues. Over time, a greater percentage of our live projects will be registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme. Improvements remain apparent with positive feedback and commendable scores being obtained for sites registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
Customer and Stakeholder Focus
Whilst the positive feedback we continually receive regarding our strong customer focus is rewarding, we do not intend to become complacent. We recognise that listening and reacting to our Clients' and Stakeholders' needs builds strong relationships, trust and confidence. We continually review our performance in this and other aspects of our delivery through our KPI (Key Performance Indicators) monitoring. We drive practical improvements, no matter how slight, by consulting with our delivery teams to conclude where procedures can be enhanced.
Quality Management Accreditation
We are currently engaged in a Knowledge Transfer Project with Telford College, Edinburgh to develop our existing Quality Management System to fully meet the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2008 and intend to operate an accredited system by early 2012.
