Environmental Mission

In conjuction with our Environmental Policy, we formulate Pollution Prevention & Waste Management Plans for every construction site. These plans take account of all environmental factors and produce strategies for undertaking the construction works in the most environmentally sound way. With regard to resource efficiency we aim to reduce wastage via bulk order monitoring and timed material deliveries and then re-use waste materials where possible. Any remaining waste is segregated on site and disposed of at relevant recycling facilities.

Regarding sustainable consumption and natural resource protection we procure materials from local sources where possible, use recycled aggregates and procure all of our timber from sustainable sources. To reduce energy consumption, we have installed low voltage lighting at our Head Office. Our site accommodation heating and lighting is powered down out of hours and our site accommodation and welfare set-ups are currently under review with the aim of reducing energy consumption by way of cistermisers and the use of recycled/rain water.

 
A number of our sites are registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme which sets stringent targets for environmental management.
